Promotion Healthy Eating and Active Living to Nevadans

Healthy Eating and Active Living Nevada (HealNV) is a community engagement initiative developed by the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health (NDPBH) to promote healthier behaviors that can reduce conditions like heart disease, diabetes, obesity, Alzheimer’s, and cancer in Nevada.

NDPBH tasked us with creating a simple brand identity for the umbrella initiative, as well as a brand video that promotes the program to citizens and Primary Care Physicians. Making lifestyle adjustments is often overwhelming, and we rallied around the tagline “Small changes, BIG results.” The goal of the brand is to help PCP’s and their patients feel encouraged by how simple, small changes can make a big impact in their overall health.

The HEAL NV initiative also allowed NDBPH to roll out smaller sub-programs, such as their 5-2-1-0 program. This program provides an easy framework for citizens to incorporate: 5 or more servings of fruits and vegetables, 2 hours or less of recreational screen time, 1 hour or more of physical activity, and 0 sugary drinks. We created a small brand identity for the 5-2-1-0 program, uniting the two logos through color and shape.
